Giving

“For if the willingness is there, the gift is acceptable according to what one has, not according to what one does not have.” 2 Corinthians 8: 12

While we acknowledge that we can never out-give God, we know that our giving is foundational to His mission in our neighborhoods, our community, and our world. Lives are touched and souls are saved through the ministries and missions of First Methodist, funded by the generosity of the faithful. Giving expands the heart of the giver and brings us closer to God.

We believe that Biblical tithing is God’s plan. Just as we all grow in spiritual maturity, we also grow in our giving. God is gracious and God is generous. More About Your Gifts

Giving Through The FMC Endowment

The Endowment receives gifts, bequests, and donations, and administers them for the perpetual benefit of the church's ministries and mission. With a new spending plan, a portion of the gifts that are given will go to support the ongoing ministries of the church and make a lasting impact for many years to come.

Memorials

Memorials are gifts given in memory of someone special in your life that has entered the Eternal Kingdom. These gifts allow the church an opportunity to make special purchases or upgrades for ongoing ministry. It is another great way a family can make a difference in memory of their loved ones.

Why Should I Give?

We contribute to the mission and ministry of the church because it is a direct response to what God has done in Jesus Christ for all of us. God calls us to be Christ for the world, and the primary way in which we do that is through the work of the church both locally and across the world. The generosity of members is required to achieve what we have been called to do.

Where Do My Gifts Go?

Our time and financial resources enable us to positively impact the spiritual, emotional, and physical lives of children, youth, and adults. We count on your generosity to be able to worship and work together for the greater good of the Kingdom of God. Our collective generosity enables us to serve our community, share the grace of God, love our neighbors in tangible ways, and improve the world for the sake of Jesus Christ.
