Children

Children - Kindergarten through 5th grade
The Children's Ministry is a safe and fun place for children to connect with each other and with God. Our goal is to not only teach children about God’s Word, but also how they can apply His Word to their daily lives. Every Sunday, your children will engage in crafts, games, music, fellowship, worship, and Bible Application.

  • Children's 10 am Sunday School classes are in the Upstairs Education Building wing (Room 204).
  • Children's Church - During our 11 am Worship Service: Children start off in the sanctuary with their parents/guardians and will be released to go to Children's Church after the children's message. They will stay in the Fellowship Hall until after the sermon and will come up to find their parents during the last song.

  • We also have Children's programming on Wednesday nights during our Wednesday Night Dinner & Discipleship

Welcome to the FMC Nursery!
We are committed to providing a safe, nurturing Christian environment for children ages 6 weeks to Pre-Kindergarten.
Nursery care is available during both Sunday services and is in the downstairs Fellowship Hall.

New Visitors: please fill out this form so we may best serve you and your child and be aware of any allergies or special needs. [This form is also available to fill out when you get here]. We look forward to meeting you and your little one(s)!

Sunday Mornings:
The Nursery rooms open at 8:30 a.m. for drop off and we ask that you pick up your child no later than 12:15 p.m., unless prior arrangements have been made.

Weeknights:
The Nursery rooms are open in the evenings for Choir/Handbell rehearsals, Worship Band rehearsals, and the Moms Group. For all other events or Bible Studies, please contact Veronica Dillon, Director of Family Ministries, via email:

A few reminders:

  • You must remain on the First Methodist Church campus while your child is in childcare, unless prior arrangements have been made.
  • Our childcare is a well child facility and we do not have the capability to care for children who are not feeling well. If your child is ill, please do not bring him/her to childcare.
  • No outside food may be brought into the childcare rooms (we cannot allow children to eat their dinner or to bring their own snacks while in our care).  We do encourage you to bring labeled sippy cups with water.  We will provide a small snack for the children, so please notify us of any food allergies.
  • Please label all items, especially cups and bottles with the name of your child.  We will provide you with a Diaper Bag Tag with our logo.
  • We do not have a paging system to notify parents, if you are needed in the nursery we will come find you or text you.

We are looking forward to caring for your child!
